CROSSLEY, Eileen Marion

July 9, 1928 – August 27, 2012

Eileen Marion Crossley of Calgary, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 at the age of 84 years.

She was born in Edmonton and it was there that she met Art, her husband of sixty wonderful years. Along with being an exceptional, loving mother, Eileen worked at Woodwards for eighteen years. After retirement she enjoyed twenty years with Art as a snowbird in Tucson, AZ. She loved golf, entertaining friends and family and was always up for a dance.

Eileen is survived by daughter Linda (Johnnie); sons Don (Lisa) and Barry (Daphne); and grandchildren, Gerrit (Katrina), Daniel and Tess. Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband Art this past December.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (1414 Shawnessy Boulevard S.W.) on Monday, September 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.     Eileen had the heart of an angel.

  18. Even though I knew Eileen such a short time she was very important to me. She was full of good humor and funny stories and always had a ready smile for everyone in Care West. Her inner strength and the fact that she had lived such a happy life was encouraging to many of us. Eileen’s family was her greatest pride and the closeness between all of them was her greatest joy.
