  3. Dear Gary and family
I was saddened to hear of the passing of your mother, Gertie. She and Gail were longtime members of the Church of the Good Shepherd and they contributed so much to the life of the parish. I can remember them washing all the windows (outside and inside) of the church building in the fall and then putting on a Thanksgiving dinner for those in the parish who didn’t have family in the city! They were loving and faithful parishioners. My husband and I enjoyed visiting them and admiring their beautiful flowers and then feasting on Gertie’s goodies!
Your parents were so devoted to each other and to their family – and this devotion was mirrored in your devotion to them. Your daily visits meant so much to Gertie.
May the memories you cherish comfort you now and in the days ahead.
    With my deep sympathy,
    Cheryl Horrey
