Gertrude passed away peacefully at Garrison Green Carewest in Calgary on November 20, 2013 at the age of 91 years.
Gertrude was born in Ingersoll, ON, daughter of the late Annie and James Wallace. She was known for her sense of humour, contagious laugh and her heart-warming smile.
Gertrude is survived and will be lovingly missed by her sons Gail (Bernice), and Gary; cherished grandchildren David (Angie), Sherry (Armand) Lavallee, Mark (Ashley), Jennifer and Joey; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Joyce Squire of Tillsonburg, ON as well many nieces and nephews. Gertrude was predeceased by her beloved husband Gailer (Pop); sisters Irene McGinnis, Annie MacMillan, Florence Messenger, Margaret Smith and Jeanette Jackson; her brother Jack Wallace and two grandchildren Peter John and Patty.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
