CRIST – Phyllis (nee Kennedy)

November 21, 1920 – June 14, 2011

Phyllis Crist, beloved wife of Myron Crist of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the age of 90 years.

Phyllis was a long time member of the Calgary Winter Club and North Hill Curling Club. She loved curling and was a three time Alberta Champion. She also enjoyed travelling, bridge, music, dancing, oil and china painting, car rides, and especially her family. Phyllis was a proud member of the Eastern Star.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of sixty-seven years, Myron; her children, Sharon Moore and Bill (Marg) Crist; her grandchildren, David (Kim, Cydnie, Ryanne, Nora) Moore, Ann-Marie (Dan, Chase, Parker) Giasson and Matthew Crist. She is survived by her brother Bob (Beverly) Kennedy; brother-in-law George Waite and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Fila Jane Francis and brother-in-law Edwin Francis, and sister-in-law Margaret Waite.

Funeral Services will be held at Wild Rose United Church (1317 – 1st Street N.W.) on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Please forward condolences through If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to thank Dr. C. Heaton for her wonderful care throughout the years and the staff on Unit 44 at the PLC in recent days.

I am so thankful that I was able to spend time with all of you when I was headed to Alaska in 2008. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. We, too, are mourning the loss of Phyllis.
