CRISPENS, Emilie Teresa (nee Hupp)

May 29, 1934 – June 24, 2012

It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Emilie Crispens announces her passing on Sunday June 24, 2012 at the age of 78 years.

Emilie was born in Dobrovolny, Germany on May 29, 1934 and came to Canada in 1952 on the Beaver Brae with her sister and mother. For any challenges in her life, she called upon the Angels to guide her and called upon them frequently on behalf of her friends and family. She is also survived by her special lifetime friend Gilles and sister Siegfrieda (Uwe); nephew Kevin, niece Andrea (Bill), and great niece Rachel, great nephew Alexander.

Emilie was predeceased by her brother Robert, mother Marie, and father Rudolph Hupp.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  4. Julie Hunt (Warthe) :

Heinz, Kathey and family – I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your wonderful Mom. My husband (Rob Hunt) and his Mom (Olive Hunt) has spoken many, many times of their amazing housekeeper of 20 or more years named Emilie. Every housekeeper since has not come close to measuring up as a housekeeper and person and she is spoken of often with very fond memories. I just learned today that this very special Emilie was your Mom. I want you to know that I’m thinking of all of you today and hope that your memories and love will keep you strong and that the knowledge that she is in a better place will bring you peace. Bless you all….Julie

    Heinz & family,
I was very saddened to see that Emilie had passed away. She was one of my favorite patients in the Foothills Heart Function Clinic and I loved to see her smile! Always a pleasure to chat with her as she was always kind, warm-hearted and despite how unwell she may have felt always smiled and asked how you were doing.
My sincerest condolences to all of you at this difficult time.
    Shauna Johns, RNBN

  6. Kathey and Heinz Crispens :

We found this poem amongst Mom’s belongings and would like to share it with the family:

Miss me… But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me,
I want no notes in a gloom filled room.
why cry a soul set free.

Miss me a little……but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love, we once shared,
    Miss me…….but let me go.

For this journey we all must take,
    and each must go alone,
It’s all a part of the master’s plan,
a step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart,
go to the friends we know,
Bury your sorrows doing good deeds,
    Miss me…….but let me go…….
