  10. Christine Gibbons & Family :

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I just wanted you to know that your Mum was a very important part of our lives also. In 1989 I tacked up an ad at the Thorncliff Library for a surrogate Gramma, as my Mum lived over 3,000 miles away and we thought our children, Dannielle, Ian & Codey would greatly benefit from having a Gramma here in Calgary. I do believe that she called us that evening in response to the ad. So, on an average of once a week, “Mrs. C” would visit our home and play board games, cards and sharing herself with our children and ourselves.
As things progress in life, as they do, she was a great source of good advice and light hearted humor. The past few years, I spent quite a bit of time with her, taking her to her hairdresser, doing a little bit of shopping or to her home for tea. I’m glad I got that time with her. It is precious to me. I will miss her smile and laughter but most of all her hugs and kisses…
Love, Christine, Fraser, Dannielle, Ian and Codey
