COTE, Charles Wesley “Wes”

June 21, 1935 – Calgary, AB
November 24, 2013 – Calgary, AB

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dad, grampa and friend, after a courageous battle with myasthenia gravis. Wes passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2013, surrounded by the love of his family.

Wes was loved by all who knew him. He was known for his kindness towards others and his love for his family. He was born in Calgary and raised in the Carseland area. Wes was a hard worker, having worked many years in the explosives business and later owning his own trucking company. He loved vintage vehicles and working on cars and everyone who had car questions would go to Wes. His pride and joy was his family and right to the end he looked forward to their every visit and phone call.

Wes will be lovingly remembered by his daughters; Collette (Al) and LaDon; son Daryl; his grandchildren Jessica and Daniel (Taylor), and son-in-law Travis (Beth). He was predeceased by his wife Glennda, his father Charles, mother Selma and his sister Denise.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

Condolence Messages

  1. Very sad to hear that Wes had passed away. He was truly a good friend. We did spend a lot of time together. I know that he was extremely proud of his family, he expressed that on many occassions. I truly regret the way our friendship ended. (we all make errors) That
is now history. I will always cherish the fond memories that we had over so many years.

  4. Our condolences to the Wes Cote family,

We was with us at Ace for a long time and Explosives Limited before.

Wes was a great employee and I considered him friend. I also enjoyed his dry sense of humour and admired him for his dedication to family.
