Cooper, William (Bill) LeRoy

Bill Cooper, beloved husband of Elsie Cooper of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2006 at the age of 71 years.

Bill was born in Raymond, AB on May 26, 1934 to Reginald and Irene (Brown) Cooper. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served faithfully in a number of church callings. As a young man he served a mission in New England. In Denver, he was called to serve as a Bishop. Bill spent much of his life in the Medical Supply Business which took him and his family throughout the United States and Canada. After his retirement, Elsie and Bill served a church mission in the Texas Fort-Worth mission. Bill’s main interests were taking care of his family, children, grandchildren. They have many loving memories of him always being there for them. Bill was loved by one and all. He was a friend to all he met, and will be fondly remembered by family and friends.

Bill is survived by the love of his life, Elsie (Field) Cooper; his daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Maximo Olmos, and Sandra and Daryl Urness; his son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Cheri Cooper; grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Olmos, Rafael (Amy) Olmos, Carlos (Rachelle) Olmos, Christina (John) Rogers, Russell and Stuart Urness, and Amy and Troy Cooper; as well as his sister Helen (Lloyd) Kitchen. Bill was predeceased by his sister Hazel (Williard) Paxman.

Funeral Services will be held at The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bow Valley Chapel, 2526 – 24 Avenue N.W. on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through

You have our email please send us a note if you get this. I gave a talk today in church about Zoetta’s softball injury And how Bishop Cooper was at the hospital when I arrived.
