Helen, beloved wife of 65 years to Robert Cooper of Bow View Manor in Calgary, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on October 19, 2013 at the age of 84 years.

Helen is survived by her loving daughter and son, Donna (Graham) Lee and Bob (Anne) Cooper; grandchildren, Shannon (Dean) Mills, Ryan (Wendy) Lee and Kevin (Jaime) Lee; 7 great grandchildren, Joshua and Ashley Mills, Annabelle, Georgia and Maggie Lee, and Alexandra and Cameron Lee. Our family thanks Helen’s special friend, Sheila, for her compassion and comfort she provided to mom and her family.

God saw the road was getting rough
And hills were hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace be thine”

In accordance with Helen’s wishes, there will be no service. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Our family wishes to thank the staff at Bow View Manor for their kindness and caring for the past three years.

In living memory of Helen Cooper, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Cochrane Funeral Home, 369 RAILWAY STREET, COCHRANE. Telephone: (403) 932-4740.

  3. Joan Mackasey :

Dear Donna, Graham, Bob and Anne: I was so sorry to read of Helen’s passing in the paper the other day. We have been good friends and she has struggled these past few years. I’m sure Helen will be playing some card games now and enjoying laughter with others in peace. We had such fun times when we lived in Gillam and had many laughs while playing card games. Sincerely Joan Mackasey
