COOPER, Grace Lorain (nee Hale)
July 8, 1928 – Duchess, Alberta
June 25, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Grace Lorain Cooper, beloved wife of sixty-five years of Cecil Cooper, on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the age of 85 years.

Grace was born and raised in the Duchess area and lived out her years in Calgary.

Besides her loving husband Cecil, Grace is survived by her son Ron (Terri); daughter Pennie Farwell; four grandchildren, John (Catherine), Clayton (Mascha), Chad (Cheryl), and Tina (Vittorio); seven great-grandchildren, Madeline, Rachel, Jasper, Rylan, Ty, Ruby-Grace, and Giovanni; brothers, Bill Hale and Jim Hale; and sisters, Gladys Muir and Clara Havens.

In respect to Grace’s wishes a formal service is not being held. A Celebration of Grace’s Life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be forwarded through If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Grace’s honour may be made directly to the Santuari Hospice, c/o Calgary Health Trust, 800, 11012 Macleod Trail S.E., Calgary, AB T2J 6A5. The family wish to extend their thanks to the loyal home care nurses at the Harbours of Newport and for the compassionate care on unit 49 and Santuari Hospice at the Peter Lougheed Centre.
