  1. Parker Pettigrew :

My aunt Beverly was one of the most compassionate and caring people I have ever known. Her smile was warm and infectious, and her kindness was amazing and infinite. God truly needed a special angel when he called her home to be with him in heaven. I am so very sorry that I won’t be able to attend her funeral.

Jeanne, David, Gus and Family – My thoughts and prayers are with you in this sad and difficult time.

    Love,
    Parker

Jeanne: Our thoughts are with you. Your Mom was such a lovely person. We will always cherish how she adored Ricky. Through her actions it was easy to tell how much Bev loved children. Her eyes always shone when children were around. She was so thoughtful and caring. Bev will truly be missed.

  4. Mrs. Coolidge was indeed an ‘Elect Lady’. As close friends of David’s, we spent many many hours in her kitchen. Bev made us all feel like another one of her children. I am sure we were a burden but she only ever made us feel the opposite. She will be most welcome in the Lord’s rest.

    Love and admiration,
    Shawn Jensen

We visited with Bev often at Safeway but also remember her as being Dave’s biggest fan on the ball diamond. She was such a sweet lady!

Our memories of Bev go back 47 years when we moved into the neighbourhood at the same time. Through those years we developed a strong bond of friendship, going through life’s good times and challenges. Bev was truly a genuine friend and devoted mother. Her heart went out to others and her home was always open. Beverly will continue to live on in our hearts and memories. Much love to you during this time of sorrow and forever.

Jeanne, David & Family: My deepest condolences to all of you. I met you Jeanne with your daughter at the birthday party I attended in Miles City 2 years ago. This comes as such a surprise to all of us who knew Bev. I attended all 12 years of school in Sunburst, we were in Luther League together, as well as singing in choir and were confirmed together. I am deeply
saddened. Love and prayers to you all. Marilyn

  15. Karna Coolidge :

I just realized today that it has been almost a half a year and yet it’s still hard to believe Bev is gone, she had such a strong, loving presence in our lives. I am forever eternally grateful to her, not only because she was such an amazing mother in law, but also a wonderful friend, not to mention grandma, in every sense of the word, to Joel, and her other grandchildren. Her concern for others was paramount in her completely unselfish life. She had a way of making everyone, even those she just met, feel special and cared about. Many hockey parents at Joel’s hockey games she attended (she hardly missed any), had the pleasure of experiencing the ‘Grandma Bev’ factor, and they looked forward to visiting with her at those games, and cheering along with her. She would cheer when no one else happened to be cheering, her support was unconditional, no matter what. I really wanted to read the following poem at her service and wish I was able to, as it seems so reflective of her loving, protective nature, and something that I felt her grandchildren would hopefully derive some comfort from. The poem is ‘The Watcher’ by Margaret Widdemer (1884-1978):

She always leaned to watch for us,
    Anxious if we were late,
    In winter by the window,
    In summer by the gate.

And though we mocked her tenderly,
    Who had such foolish care,
The long way home would seem more safe
    Because she waited there.

Her thoughts were all so full of us,
    She never could forget!
And so I think that where she is
    She must be watching yet.

Waiting till we come home to her,
    Anxious if we are late,
    Watching from Heaven’s window,
    Leaning on Heaven’s gate.

We miss you ‘Grandma Bev’, rest in eternal loving peace.
