July 31, 2008 – July 31, 2012
Jozie Kathleen Cookshaw of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the age of 4 years.
Jozie is survived by her mother Katie Chaput (Manuel Vieira) and father Kent Cookshaw; her siblings Simon Cookshaw and Kira Vieira; great-grandmother Valma Tall; maternal grandparents John and Helen Chaput; paternal grandparents Bill Cookshaw (Marie Rowe) and Diane Cookshaw; as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by seven great-grandparents, and her uncle Jason (Ozi) Chaput, with whom she shared her love of music.
Though Jozie faced more struggles in her short life than most of us will ever face in a lifetime, she remained a happy, warm and loving child whose sunny smile warmed the hearts of everyone she met. Her cheeky grin and silly sense of humour will be dearly missed. Our little girl left this world a better place, and though she was a small soul, she touched the lives of all who loved her in an enormous way.
A Celebration of Jozie’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
