Condolence Messages

  1. Mark & Maret (Watson) Maurison :

So sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing. We sincerely hoped he would recover from his latest experience.
We will miss the Sundays when we would share a bottle of wine, where Bruce would recount what he called “war wound” experiences. In our memories Bruce loved Horses and Flying, he also enjoyed the Springtime birthing of baby Elk and the Fall Bugling of the great Elk Bulls.
    Sincerely Mark & Maret

  4. Ron and Eileen :

Dear Bruce Cook Family – My name is Eileen Dumont and I am the oldest daughter of Bob Almond. My dad worked for Imperial Lumber for many years until it sold. My dad and your dad were good friends and I remember Bruce coming to the house. One time when I lived out of town and was in the yard, this plane came buzzing by and did a few dips. I thought it was in trouble and thought I should phone the police. Later dad told me good job I did not phone the police because it was him and Bruce and apparently they were “not on their flight pattern.” Your dad gave my dad many plane rides. My dad, Bob Almond Sr passed away November 23, 1980. Your dad was at the service and wrote the eulogy. Dad thought highly of Bruce. I am sure everyone who knew Bruce will miss him.

My brother Doug and I were saddened by the news of Bruce’s passing and although we are unable to attend your celebration of life for him, we will be thinking of you at this time. Our condolences to Blair, Susan and their families.

Doug and I are Bruce’s cousins (our father was Maxwell, youngest brother of Bruce’s dad)and although we had lost touch in recent years, have fond memories of visiting from High Prairie and Doug has memories of attending school with Bruce in Winnipeg. Your dad may have told you of the adventures when the Red River flooded.
