    To Rose’s Family,
I believe this is the Rose who went to Edgehill School for Girls. Rose was one of my best friends at Edgehill. We roomed together and were both into horses and riding. I haven’t seen Rose or been in touch with her since our early 20’s. She was a wonderful person, and a great friend to me,even after we left Edgehill.
My condolences to all her family.

    Siincerely, Kathy

I am so sad to hear of my dear friend Rose’s passing. It comforts me to know that her children were with her . I know how much she loved you.
Rose and I were the best of friends in high school and kept in touch off and on through the years. I haven’t heard from her for the past few years and often wondered how she was doing. Now I know she is safe and resting peacefully. Rose was such a special little spirit and will be greatly missed. My thoughts go out to you at this time of sorrow

  5. Deborah Ettinger Gauthier :

    To the Coleman Family,

When I saw the paper on Saturday and read that Rosemarie had passed away, it literally took my breath away.
I remember as a young girl getting ready to ride the school bus from South Woodside to Prince Arthur Junior High for the first time and wondering with a little fear what would it be like…that big school were I would hardly know anyone.
When I walked in the class there in the corner with all the crowd was the beautiful Rosemarie Coleman, laughing and talking with everyone. I was so lucky because immediately we hit it off and the next three years in junior high were amazing. She was so full of energy and fun. I often had lunch at the Coleman’s (being a bus student) and I was always welcomed by the family. Lunch times sometimes were chaotic, full of action but always full of fun for me. I loved it.
In grade nine Rosemarie had a” Sweet Sixteen ” party and that was no doubt the most prized invitation you could get and I was front and center. What a night and Rosemarie was the belle of the ball!

Sadly, that summer we moved away, and since there was no Facebook, Twitter or another social media , the letters that in the beginning were fast and furious slowly stopped as we went our own way…school, boyfriends, marriage , children( whom she loved so dearly as she would tell me about them) and so on…
I thought about her often and would sometimes hear her news…
So when I saw her obituary at such a young age I knew her struggles must have taken their toll.
As I look back through my book of memories and the chapter “Prince Arthur and Rosemarie Coleman” I will never forget that truly beautiful smile and those eyes that would twinkle with excitement and laughter. How lucky was I to have her for a friend those years.

I would like to send my condolences to Fran, Jackie and Judy and the rest of her family. I wish peace for Rosemarie. I will never forget her.

    With prayers and sympathy,

  7. Judy (Doodles) Coleman :

Dear bestest ever Big (little) sister Rose. For those that don’t know a year ago January I went to Calgary to visit my friend Debbie Blair who did pass away. Not only was I able to visit Debbie her last day, I ran into my sister Rose!! She was at the same hopital as Debbie visiting her friend. Tyler and I had decided to go for a smoke and as we were walking through the glass hallway leading outside, I saw a bunch of girls standing around talking. Out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of a small woman sitting on a chair and I thought it was Rose. I ran around the girls and low and behold there was my dear sister Rose . WE hugged and cried in disbelief and joy!! I just kept yelling My big sister!! If I had been five min later she would be gone. It was an absolute miracle out of all the people and hospitals we found each other. I felt very blessed. And the whole time I was there Rose always had her beautiful smile. I count my blessings that I got to see and spend time with my big sister. I was very lucky.
Rose was always such a fun big sister. She would tell us the most wildest crazy stories with her great big smile and her giggles. She was always there when you needed her or to play with. I loved our times together, the stories she told, the games she taught us and just the presence of her in the room. Rose always had a presence about her and as small as she was she would fill a room with her personality , smiles and laughter.
You will always be my Big sister Rose and I will always love you. When my time comes I’ll be looking for you and looking forward to your smiles, laughter and stories once again. I know you’ll be there waiting for your little sister Doodles!!
I love you so much Rose and I know all you ever wanted in life was to be loved and understood. There are so many people waiting for you that love you and understand who Rose is. She’s the bestest Big sister ever .
With tears in my eyes and a broken heart I say Goodbye to you for now

My dearest sister Rose…words have not been created in this dimension that match my love and appreciation for you, I have never known anyone that has the level of forgiveness and compassion that you offered to the world. I horribly already miss knowing you are here in a body who calls me sometimes at odd hours (haha), proud that you are my sister and celebrate with you your new journey, your new beginning. I know my tears will pass creating so much more space in my heart for me to share with my loved ones and the world. I would not be who I am today without you. I thank you. I honor you. Super hero hugz from one super hero, to another.
