CLOUTIER, Richard David

April 6, 1948 – April 8, 2013

Richard David Cloutier beloved husband of Sheila of Calgary, passed away with his wife by his side on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the age of 65 years.

Richard was born on April 6, 1948 in Windsor, Ontario. He met his beloved wife, Sheila Mockett, at Essex District High School and they were wed in 1971. They celebrated the birth of their first son, Justin and moved west in 1981 to settle in Calgary were he began a lengthy career in the oil and gas industry. Their second son, Matthew, was born while they were living in High Level. The family settled in Calgary for the final time in 1997. Richard will always be remembered for his sense of humour, his dedication to his family and his resilience.

Richard will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by wife Sheila Cloutier; sons Matthew and Justin Cloutier; mother Bertha Ulch; sister Caro (Ken) Lepain; brothers Dale Cloutier and Jim (Sherry) Cloutier; and sisters-in-law Dorothy (Larry) Merritt and Donna (Phil) Pickles.

  24. The Cloutier Family has been a big part of our lives, so it was with great sadness that we learned of Rick’s passing. It was nice to reflect on those Buffaloes hockey teams that Neil, Matt, and I played on, and remember Rick’s support, his kindness, and his friendship that accompanied them.
