  4. John and Mary Fennell :

We were very fortunate to meet Jane thirty five years ago and little did we know that she would be such an important part of our family.
Jane shared her talents with us during those years. She was always trying new projects. She got involved in painting, needle point, crocheting and other fun things. Jane also did a lot of genealogy on her family. We were very pleased to have been given one of her paintings and some of the sewing projects. It seems that any project she took up she did very well.
Jane really had a love for life. It always seemed whenever she had some sort of health issue, she just looked at it as one of those bumps in the road. She may have been slowed down for a while but she just kept going.
We feel our lives are richer by having Jane in our extended family. Jane will always in our minds and hearts.

  6. Will miss Jane. She was a very nice and intelligent woman who marched on bravely to the very end. I and many others are sorry we hadn’t realized she was sick or we would have gone down to visit her. What a wonderful lady.

  12. Makoto Nagano :

It came up to me that today is your 86th birthday…

Jane, you left just two weeks after I met and talked and laughed with you in Calgary in 2014 – I feel I was fortunate to have seen you still lively, to have heard your lively voice. You treated me as if I was your actual son, as you had done for years. I want to thank you for that. It was shocking to hear the news of your passing, but I was able to receive it calmly, surprisingly, for some reason.

Jane, I also feel fortunate to have met you. To be honest with you, it took time for me to realize and appreciate you and your presence in a truthful sense. The ways you think, the ways you handle things were foreign to me. Over time, I understood why you think in the way you do and came to appreciate it so much.

You did not have twisted negative attitude to the life, as I did. You were quite logical and pragmatic, which was a part reason that I initially did not understand you well – I first did not see how deeply you care about others because of this.

Jane, I am not sure if I expressed enough to you how much I appreciated your presence and admired your attitudes and your ways to handle the life. Jane, I want you to know that I have been trying to incorporate what I had learned from you in myself, to change myself. I think I said none of these things to you, but I hope you sensed it.

    I dearly miss you, Jane.
