  6. Wendy and Keith Osborne :

Shirley was a very funny and kind cousin. Shirley’s kitchen was my second home growing up. She always made us laugh and her worlds best potatoe pancakes kept us going all day. Wendy remembers those days at city hall when she would see Shirley and always leave with a smile on her face.
Bruce, Len, Debbie and Karen our thoughts and prayers are with you. Shirley will be missed.
Sorry we will not be able to join you Saturday.

  7. Lanna van der Velden (nee Aikens) :

I remember Auntie Shirley with great fondness hiking together where she brought enthusiasm and joy of everything living. I was reminded of this saying when I heard of her passing; “Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.” If it isn’t the stars it will be the gardens in bloom that would be Auntie Shirley.

To Bruce, Len, Debbie and Karen and Families
Although I lost contact over the years, I would remember her often , sometimes cleaning around the farm I would find old bottles and dishes (I remember she collected them ), or if I was really thirsty I would remember what she would say ( drier than a cookie fart) it always made me smile. Her good spirit and sense of humour would always cheer you up and she will be remembered and missed by everyone who ever knew her. Oene

I remember your mum fondly always smiling and putting up with all us girls hanging out (even back to the days of the little house!). She was ‘cool’ and most importantly caring and warmhearted. What a wonderful spirit.
