Chad was in nearly every one of them and sometimes had a starring role..Every one of his old friends will forever carry a piece of him with us and I for one can say that when I think about him I always smile.. he was one of the funniest good natured guys I have ever known. I’m so sorry to hear the sad news about Chad. Our hearts go out to you and the boys. I remember Chad as such an energetic and loving Dad, full of fun. Kate absolutely loved him as a soccer coach, and how bizarre that on Wednesday I found a painting she had done that had “for coach Chad” written on it… I had forgotten to bring it to soccer to give it to him but I told him about it and I think he liked that. He was always high fiving the kids, and making them feel so good. Thinking of you Marla, especially over these next couple of days, and I’m sorry we cannot make it on Sunday. You were a second family for me growing up. I can’t count the number of sleepovers, trips to the cabin, swim meets, special wheat germ smoothies before the world knew what smoothies were, snow forts, bike rides–you name it. You treated me like a son and a brother, and I’m forever grateful. Chad’s laughter and friendship are written on my heart (there’s also probably a scar or two on my skin, thanks to the Clarkian ‘brotherly love’). Deepest condolences to you, Marla, Markus and Matteo in the loss of your wonderful brother, son, father, husband, friend. His memory lives on.

    Marla and Family,

I first met Chad when we worked together at Alterna Technologies. I was so thrilled to learn we would be working together again at Encana. He was the most sincere person I’ve had the pleasure to meet and could always put a smile on my face. I am so truly sorry to hear he is no longer with us.

God bless you and the boys. He loved you all so very much.

  80. Keith McClelland :

I got to know Chad through various projects he worked on for my team at Encana. Chad was bright, practical and, most importantly, a pleasure to work with. He had a positive attitude, was friendly and down to earth and would not hestiate to drop by to say “Hi” or have a quick chat. Chad will be missed by many within Encana.

My deepest sympathies go out to the family.

    Keith McClelland

  82. Michael Kwadrans :

I only had the pleasure and great fortune of working with Chad briefly during our time together at SMART. In that time I got to know a person who I aspired to be more like, and took a great deal from our friendship afterwards.

Chad’s passing truly is a tragic loss.

To the Clarke family, you have my sincerest condolences.

    Michael

  84. I was so sorry to hear this yesterday. Too hard to believe. I was very fortunate to work closely with Chad at Alterna and Trema for 6 years. Chad was my direct manager and he was the best boss I had ever had. He was so kind, caring and always had passion for his team. The last time I met Chad was on Jun 23, 2012. The last time I spoke with Chad was on Jun 25, 2012. We promised each other to have a lunch together again.Marla, you may not remember me because we only met once briefly. But if there is any thing I can do for Matteo and Markus, please let me know. My whole family’s thoughts are with you and your family.
