On behalf of the Toronto Beaches Lion Club, I would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to the entire Clarke family. I do not believe any of our members had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Clarke, however, I am sure much of what he was is survived in his daughter, Colleen, and as such he must have been a very wonderful man.

  13. Kerry (Logan) Smith & David Smith :

David and I are sad to hear of Bud’s passing, and wish to offer our condolences to Vivian and family.

In 1980 I was a fresh graduate from the nuclear pharmacy program at U of A, newly transplanted to the Foothills Hospital in Calgary. I met Bud as the Frosst rep in Nuclear Medicine, and always looked forward to his visits. Bud was very generous to me, and very kind to the “new kid on the block”! David and I have fond memories of fun times with Bud at Nuclear Medicine meetings. Bud also treated us to a memorable lunch in Barbados when we were all there on holiday.

I had a special soft spot for Bud because he knew my Dad, also a pharmacist, who passed away just a few months before I left Edmonton. It was comforting for me to have this connection to my Dad and my home.

Our thoughts are with you all. Sincerely,
    Kerry and David Smith

  14. Roger & Eleanor Otteson :

So sorry to read about Bud’s passing. I will always treasure our friendship. Bud and I always remembered an airbus trip we shared to Calgary. We encountered each other in the waiting area. I said” nice shoes Bud”. He looked down at his gardening shoes. They really complimented his imaculate suit. He had taken Brad or Colleen to the airport earlier and was running a little late for our flight. He jumped into the first shoes at the back door. I rented a car in Calgary and took him to a shoe store. Sorry we won’t be there but our thoughts will be with you.
    Sincerely,
    Roger and Eleanor

  19. Dear Brad,

My name is Bob Davis. I live in Vancouver. My Father’s name is Frank Davis. Your Father and mine used to play tennis together at ungodly hours back in the 60’s in Edmonton. We only recently found out about your Father’s passing. Please accept our heartfelt feelings. Dad was quite upset to hear the news. He always told me that your Father was one of the few. What that means has never been explained but Dad was very moved. High praise indeed from my Dad. I remember your Dad, He always had a smile for me and my sisters. I liked him a lot. I thought he was the tallest guy in the world. No wonder the world went quiet May 2/11. All the love we have is with you and yours.

    Bob Davis.
