Donald (Don) Fredrick Clark, beloved husband of Helen of Calgary, passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at the age of 83 years.
Don was born on March 22, 1922 in Kingston, ON. He fought for his country during World War II, with the Irish Regiment of Canada, seeing action in Italy, Belgium and Holland. Don retired from the military in 1972 and then worked with Canada Post until his retirement. Throughout his life he was a man devoted to his family, and a proud member of the Tin Lizzie Corp of the Alazar Shriners and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #285.
Besides Helen, his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Don will be remembered by his sons and daughters-in-law, James and Annette and Brian and Carol; and his daughter and son-in-law Donna and Bob, all of Calgary; as well as grandchildren, Michael, Steven, James, and Courtney. He is also survived by his niece and nephew, Beth Burgess and Fred Brown, of Ontario. Don was predeceased by his father and mother, Fredrick and Beatrice Clark and sister Muriel.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. with Chaplain Carol Barwick, Presider.
