CIUNCZYK, Konstanty (Kenneth)

March 22, 1923 – July 31, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Konstanty (Kenneth) Ciunczyk of Calgary on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the age of 89 years.

Born in Poland on March 22, 1923, Kenneth served with the Polish Armed Forces during the Second World War. He came to Canada in 1946 and was a long time member of the SPK Polish Combatants Association No. 18. A kind and hardworking man, he will be lovingly remembered by many extended family and friends.

Kenneth will be sadly missed by his children, Lucy (Keith) Perron, Edward, and Michelle (Alfonso) Lombardo; grandchildren, Aniela and Lucas Perron and Bennett and Kennedy Lombardo. He was predeceased by his loving wife Bronislawa.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W.) on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Bethany Care Society, 916 – 18A Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1C6, Telephone: 403-284-6004. Special thanks to the staff at the Bethany Care Society for their wonderful care and kindness.
