Helen Madelaine Chunta (nee Dominas), beloved wife of Mr. John Chunta of Calgary went home to join her family in Heaven on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the age of 86 years. She died peacefully after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease and related complications. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Throughout Helen’s life, she was blessed with a kind spirit that touched many lives and she set a wonderful example for all that knew her. Her philosophy through life was to “never give up and keep on going” and she lived this until the very end. She always put the needs of others before her own.
Besides her loving husband John, Helen is survived by her two daughters, Leslie (Jack) and Patti (Ted); four grandchildren, Shannon (Jason), Jim (Tracey), Anastasia and Connor; two great grandchildren, Joshua and Logan, and a third due in December. She is also survived by her sister Josephine Proulx and many nieces and nephews.
