October 7, 1923 – January 4, 2011

Dominic Chiappini beloved husband of Frances Chiappini of Calgary, passed away on January 4, 2011 at the age of 87 years.

Dominic was born in Fossombrone, Marche, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1952. In 1954 he married Frances Mariani. They had three children and Dominic was a devoted husband, father, and Nonno who dearly loved his family. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. He was employed with Imperial Oil for twenty-six years and became very well known as the man who could fix anything.

Besides his loving wife Frances, Dominic is survived by his children Perry (Melissa) Chiappini their two children Robert and William, Loretta (Warren) Taninbaum their two children Erica and Hannah, and Carol (Sandro) Zanin their two children Harrison and Liam.

He was predeceased by his parents Rea and Cesare Chiappini.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through If lieu of flowers memorial tributes can be made directly to the Alhzeimer’s Society, 222 58 Avenue SW Calgary, AB T2H 2S3, Telephone: (403)290-0110. We would like to express our appreciation for the kindness and care given to Dominic by Dr. Oyenhanji and the staff at the Brentwood Intercare Centre.
