Celia of Calgary, AB, passed away on January 19, 2015 at the age of 94 years.
Celia’s hobbies included reading the Bible, prayer, cooking, knitting, and volunteer work, she also did charitable work. Celia was the founder of Senior Ministers in three churches in Lima, Peru and supported financially for many years.
Celia is survived by her children Jorge, Cloti, Esther, Luis, Daniel, Nora. Grandchildren: David, Daniel, Daniel A., Isela, Alexander, Tatiana, Angel, Mency, Israel, Denis, Gerson, Jonathan, Hair. Great-grandchildren: Nayda y Estela, Jesus y Tirsa, Anthony y Ennique. Siblings Zara, Cleofe, Luis, Lucia, Placido, Alejandra. And nieces Elena and Lorne Daly. She was predeceased by her husband Julian Chavez Barron and her parents Ricardina Arias and Luciano Cordova.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at El Encuentro Alliance Church (3851 – 54 Avenue N.E.) on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
