Chambers, William John (Bill)

William John (Bill) Chambers beloved husband of Barbara Chambers of Calgary, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the age of 69 years.

Whether camping or 4x4ing, Bill had an instinctive desire to be in the great outdoors touring the backcountry. This desire led him to be one of the original founding members of the Four Wheel Stampeders and through this has had the opportunity to navigate many of the off-roading trails where most would dare not to go.

Along with his loving wife of forty-five years Barbara, Bill will be forever remembered by his children and their spouses, Kim and Greg, Lynne and Myles and Nancy all of Calgary; five grandchildren, Angela and Lonny, Logan, Michael, Brittany and Jordyn and by his one great grandchild Landon.

A Private family service will be held. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the MEOW Foundation Box 65024 RPO North Hill Calgary, AB T2N 4T6 Telephone: (403) 230-6033 or to The Calgary Humane Society, 4455 – 110th Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 2T7, Telephone: (403)205-4455, www.calgaryhumane.ca.

Hello, it’s Gemma Marie Webberley here. Just been looking for my family for so long in Calgary and I’m very sad to come across the news of my uncle Bill. I only spent a little time with him but he was a great man. You could always see he was so proud and loved all the family. So I would love to find or speak to my family in Calgary. Maybe I can visit, I miss you all so much. My thoughts are with you all. I’ll keep looking for you all. Hope you are all ok. Stay strong. All my love and hugs from Gemma.
