Cesonis, Albinas (Al)

Albinas (Al) Cesonis passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Al was born in Kaisiadorys, Lithuania on Janauary 12, 1922. He immigrated to Canada with his wife Elisabeth in 1952. Al faced the challenges of starting over in a new country with the strength and determination he displayed all his life. He was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life until he ventured on his own as a siding contractor. Al will always be remembered for his sparkling blue eyes and his keen sense of humour.  Al will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Heidi (Frank) Bohlmann; son Roger (Debbie) Cesonis; three grandchildren, Jonah, Braeden and Holly; and his companion Stacey Zalewski and her family. Al was predeceased by his wife Elisabeth in 1993.  A Private Family Service will be held.  Family Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of donor’s choice. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and volunteers at the Agape Hospice for their compassionate care. In living memory of Albinas Cesonis, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH Telephone: (403) 276-2296.
