May 15, 1952 – S. Andrea Del Garigliano, Fro. Italy
February 9, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta
Our beautiful Elizabeth Silvana Casale was reborn as an angel on the morning of February 9th 2015, at the age of 62 years. Silvana is survived by her loving husband Giovanni, her daughter Josie, her son Joseph, her grandchildren Ashley and Dillon, her mother Giovanna, her Brothers and Sister in Calgary and Halifax, and many more. Silvana was born in S. Andrea Del Garigliano in Italy, during meager times. She was three years old when she made the journey across the ocean to Canada with her mother and siblings, where she was finally united for the first time with her father Luigi. Silvana’s gentle spirit intoxicated everyone who was lucky enough to be in her company. She was selflessly dedicated to her family; she wanted nothing but peace and happiness for all the people around her. She absolutely loved to bake goodness and love into her cakes and pies… let’s not get started on her delicious cookies! She was a successful business woman, who handled every challenge that came her way with grace. Despite the hardships of her illness, she never lost sight of hope, faith, or positivity. Even in her final moments her thoughts were not for herself, but for her beloved family. Her voice, her laughter, her smile, her eyes, her amazing heart and spirit will be forever missed.
