March 25th, 1932 – Radville, SK
April 16, 2014 – Calgary, AB

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eldon Carlson on April 16th, 2014 at the age of 82 years. He now joins his beloved wife Margaret who passed away this past December.

Dad had a great love of sports which included golf, curling, hockey and especially baseball. All of the boys played baseball from an early age and there were many hours spent at the park with dad hitting grounders and pitching batting practice. The penalty for hitting a pop fly was you had to run the bases each time. Dad was able to get even more involved when he took on the role of umpire and did many of our games. Being family didn’t exclude us from being called out on strikes or on the bases. Once mom and dad retired they spent many years travelling to Phoenix to attend spring training games and looked forward to family coming down to visit. They also enjoyed many bus trips with Branson Missouri being their favorite.

Eldon is survived by sons Kevin (Susan), Robert (Virgie); and grandchildren Graig, Laura, Danielle, Sarah and Kirby. He is also survived by a sister Lois (John) Sax along with numerous nieces and nephews. Eldon was predeceased by wife Margaret, son Donovan and daughter-in-law Roxanne and daughter Lori Ann.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Agapé Hospice, 1302 – 8 Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1B8 Telephone: (403) 282-6588.

A Private Family Service was held. Condolences may be forwarded through
