  1. Mom….Pink Roses and Puppies

We met for the first time at the hospital in Richmond Hill 44 yrs ago, I didn’t know you, and you hadn’t chosen my name yet.

I would be your last baby of seven that you brought into this world. You bought me my first puppy, a little poodle all wrapped up in your fur coat. We use to have lunch every week at the A&W in the Newmarket mall so long ago. You taught me how to make cookies and spaghetti. That’s what moms do.

You and Dad took me to Banff on a horse sled, just the three of us, there was so much snow it was a winter wonderland.

We could talk on the phone for hours, you always supported my dreams and understood me even in the hardest times of my life, you were my soft place to fall. I wouldn’t have chosen any other mom than you.

I remember ……..we sat together long days at the hospital getting to know each other, we laughed a lot, ate together, played with Lola…..I cried and smiled at your funny comments, we watched Patch Adams together…and that’s where our journey began and ended.

You held my hand when I was a little girl protecting me, and now I’ll hold your soul and your beauty within my heart on your final journey.

May Jehovah comfort you and be with you. I hope to see you soon in the new system. Go finish that dance with Dad, he’s waiting for you…

    Love Always, Leanne…kisses …
