  1. Erin Wolter - lived in Elboya two doors down :

I know one is never prepared for this time. I am so grateful she went so suddenly and did not suffer long with a debilitating illness. I can not think of anyone I feel so honored to have known in my lifetime. Eileen was an amazing woman who wanted for so little and gave so very much. I like to think of her as my mommy as well as yours.

    See you all soon

Bob and I send our prayers and sympathies. The Blair Burkinshaw connection goes back a long way. I, Brenda, remember her driving me out to Plover Lake July first for a picnic with a group of her family to spend the day at the picnic with Bob. I think it was in a station wagon..48 years ago. Hold on tight to those precious memories you have and the reassurance of seeing her again in Heaven.

  3. Glenn & Claudia Proudfoot :

My father really loved his sister Eileen – they sure knew each others sense of humour and shared a ‘trademarked’ hearty laugh. She was kind and caring and one of the lucky people in the world who saw every day as a blessed one.

  4. Randy Wolter :

I am sad to hear about the death of Mrs. (Eileen) Burkinshaw. She was a wonderful, loving woman who always welcomed us neighborhood children into her home but also watched over us to make sure we were doing only what was good. I hadn’t seen her in over 30 years, but she and her kids were so much a part of my childhood; I’ll never forget. God bless her.

Sometimes i wish i had superpowers so i could be in two places at once. Auntie Eileen will truly be missed. Every time i saw her, she was helping someone with something. And she loved her stories – hearing them and telling them. But her story does not end here, it has only just begun. I am thankful that Auntie Eileen left this world painlessly and peacefully. My thoughts and prayers reach out to family and friends. May God’s love heal your sorrow, and may His peace replace your heartache with warm and loving memories. <3 christine anne
