Ron Bullen, beloved son, father and grandfather passed away suddenly on Friday, October 26, 2007 at the age of 69 years.
Ron had a real passion for life and lived it to the fullest. He was raised on the family farm in Alberta’s Peace River Country. It was there he did his schooling through correspondence and won the Governor Generals Award for the top marks for his Provincial Grade Nine Exams. This would be only the first of several other awards which he would receive in his lifetime. Ron was a visionary in Alberta’s oil industry as one of the Founders of Canadian Fracmaster. Ron was an accomplished pilot and one of his greatest joys was flying. If he wasn’t in his plane, Ron liked to keep busy building treasures in his woodworking shop, tinkering at his cabin or playing bridge with good friends.
Ron is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Derek and Susan Bullen, Brent and Dawn Bullen, Chris and Heather Bullen; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Tessa, Brayden, Morgan, Sydney, Stevahn, and Caelahn; extended family, James and Lisa Scott, Jeff and Tanya Morris and their children, Sierra, Kaya and Jules; mother Inez Bullen; brother and sister-in-law Bob and Dell Bullen; and sister and brother-in-law Carol and Bob Grunewald. He was predeceased by his father Fred Bullen in 1994; and wife Pam Bullen on July 30, 2007.
