BUKOWICKI, Hilda Alvina (nee Gittel)

October 15, 1920 – Haverhill, Saskatchewan
December 10, 2013 – Calgary, Alberta

Hilda Bukowicki (nee Gittel) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the age of 93 years.

Born October 15, 1920 in Haverhill, Saskatchewan, Mom was raised on the farm, being the eldest and only girl, along with her four brothers. Hilda worked as a Supervisor at The Colonel Belcher Hospital from 1968 till 1985.

Mom found the love of her life, our Dad, and they were married September 6, 1946 in Calgary, AB. Along the way came four children. Mom worked hard to raise her children and succeed by being both a father and mother. So proud of you, Mom. Job well done!

Mom loved to travel with her long-time girlfriends. She enjoyed bingo and crosswords. Mom loved family gatherings. To be with her family made her smile and to be so proud of what she accomplished.

Hilda is survived by her children, Gerry (Betty), Darlene (Don) Prince, Wayne (Lynn), and Gail (Doug Hillrud) Wyman; her nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and her brother Gordon (Jan) Gittel.

Hilda was predeceased by her husband Alfred in 1967.

A Celebration of Hilda’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
