J.A.M. (Mac) Buffam of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at the age of 77 years.
Mac was born in Edmonton on January 25, 1927 and moved to Calgary to start his career in the oil industry as an Oil Scout. He continued in the petroleum industry for many years, both in the field and in the office. His sense of adventure and entrepreneurial spirit led him to start up many companies in the oil industry, which was his passion. He enjoyed the arts and had an eclectic style in all aspects of his life. Mac always had a joke and a story to tell, and his spirit lives on in all of us. He will be greatly missed.
