Dianne Lynne Budd, nee (Johnson) a native Calgarian passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday January 30 2015 at the age of 74.
After graduating from Crescent Heights High School Dianne worked at Canadian Pacific Railway as a telegraph operator where she met her husband Ken and married for fifty five years. She then worked as a court reporter until she became a homemaker and raised her three children. Dianne was a fabulous cook, always giving her baking and casseroles to those that were suffering or in need. Dianne loved to travel with her husband and family in their trailer. Her many poodles were also a huge part of her life.
She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her loving husband Ken Gerald Budd; daughter Keri-Lee Budd; sons Blair Budd of Calgary and Scott (Laurie) Budd of Elkford British Columbia; grandchildren, Greg, Kenny, Tylor and Devon all of Calgary; sister Darilyne (Garry) Goett of Las Vegas, Nevada; she is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dianne was predeceased by her loving parents Nancy Grace and Harry Barkley Johnson; brothers, Clifford Farley and Harry Sidney Earl Johnson. Dianne was deeply loved and will be sadly missed.
In keeping with Dianne’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to a charity of their choice. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
