BUCKLER, Victor Allen

Victor Allen Buckler of Bottrel passed away on September 17, 2014 at the age of 53 years.

Victor was born in Cochrane to Henry and Ellen Buckler on February 15, 1961. He went to high school at Cochrane High School and had an avid oil field career consulting and working for companies such as Precision Drilling and Tesco. Victor enjoyed spending time farming, building, and spending quality time with his family.

Victor is survived by his wife Charlene Buckler and their children Catrinia Cook, Justin Cook, Monica Baker, Kevin Buckler, and Alex Buckler along with two grandchildren Janel Spooner and Henry Buckler; his brothers John (Reet) Buckler, Charlie Buckler, Tim Buckler and sisters Hellen Buckler and Valerie (Lloyd) Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Cochrane, 369 Railway Street, Cochrane, AB), on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, 2888 Shaganappi Trail N.W., Calgary, AB T3B 6A8, Telephone: (403) 955-8818. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Intercare Chinook Care Centre for their support in his final days.

    Dear Charlene, I know how hard you worked to get Victor to reconnect with his family and friends. You did a wonderful job and it was sure nice to spend time with you guys and see how happy you were together. Years go by and we never seem to find the time we need to stop not just say we’re going to. To your family I know he was special and will cherish those times they spent with him.
