BRUNETTE, Al Joseph

July 17, 1938- Almonte, ON
May 28, 2013 – Calgary, AB

Al Brunette beloved husband of Brenda of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the age of 74 years.

Al was a valley boy from Eastern Ontario who made his way west and started in the construction industry. A milestone in his life was in 1992 when he joined the ownership of Devitt & Forand Contractors Inc. and went on to purchase the entire company. Al was known for his honesty and integrity; he was the kind of man who would follow through on a handshake. He was an avid fisherman that went for the big ones on the West Coast. Later on in life, the warm winters in Florida called him and Al obliged.

He is survived by three sons, Blake, Bruce, Kevin and a daughter, Cathy; a brother John and a sister Mary Raspor. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Helen Kerr; numerous nieces, nephews, five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Al was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Ellen Brunette.

Funeral Services will be held at First Alliance Church (12345 – 40th Street S.E.) on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Condolences can be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
