BROWN (nee Kaake), Lois Marie

May 30, 1950 – February 24, 2015

It is with profound sadness and deep loss that we announce the passing of our beloved partner, mother, sister, aunt, grandma, cousin and friend on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lois is survived by her husband and best friend Robert Brown, daughters Kristina and son-in-law Jason Penney and Jennifer Kaake, her step-children Erin Brown, Tyler Brown and Lauren and her husband Adam Boutilier, her sister-in-law Beverly Taylor, her brother Jim and sister-in-law Colleen Taylor, her sisters Lorna and brother-in-law Dave Cummins and Gail and brother-in-law Lorne DeBoer; her grandchildren Joshua and Jillian Penney and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Taylor, her father William Taylor, her eldest brother Don Taylor and her ex-husband Ron Kaake.

A Celebration of Lois’ Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the caregivers involved in helping Lois through the final journey, especially the palliative care team.
