    To Maxine’s family,
it was a pleasure to have spent a little time with Maxine while I was visiting with my parents Bob & Penny Petersen at the Renoir.
We often sat together at meals and Maxine was always charming and we laughed a lot sharing stories and memories. i feel fortunate to have had even just a little time with her.
I know she will be at peace now.

  2. Shirley (Petersen) Perry :

Although no words can really help to ease the loss you are feeling, please know that I am keeping all of Maxine’s family in my thoughts and prayers. I share in your sorrow at the death of the gentle and loving Maxine.
I came to know Maxine at the Renoir, while I was staying with my father, Bob Petersen in December and January.
I feel that we never truly lose the people that we love, even after death. They continue to touch every thought, action and decision we make. Their love is held safe in our memories and we can be comforted knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
When I think of Maxine, it is her wonderful smile and laugh that I see in my mind, and I feel blessed for having been able to spend time with her.
I am sure that the strength of your family will be a blessing for you all at this sad time. Please convey my condolences to everyone.

  4. Joanne Briggs (Bates) :

    Kerry, Hugh and family,
I am so sorry so hear about your mom, Kerry. I hadn’t seen her for many years but I certainly have fond memories of her… as a wonderful friend of Mom and Dad’s, but also a substitute teacher when I was in elementary school, a church organist, and especially as a determined yet extremely patient choir director for our CGIT Vesper Service choir! Whenever I hear “Let There Be Peace On Earth” at Christmas, I vividly remember singing it for the Vesper Service one year and how much we practiced to get it sounding good. May your own memories of your mom be a real comfort to you and your family.

  5. Chris van Egmond :

    Dear Kerry and Hugh,
I’m very sorry to hear about your mom passing, Kerry. I know that the last few months have been difficult for the whole family and I trust that your mother has now found her peace. That she is now finally free of pain must bring some small measure of comfort to the family. I know it did when Trent’s mom passed recently. I wish for you the ability to recall now the great times that the you have shared, and the ability to celebrate the wonderful life that she lead and the positive influence she had on those around her.
