November 10, 2014 – Calgary, AB

Harry Roy Brown of Calgary, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Foothills Medical Centre on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the age of 76 years.

Harry was not a man of many words but, he had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand. An avid gardener who could coax any seed into growing, he loved to spend time outdoors. He loved mechanics and was always happy to help fix a car for family and friends alike

Harry is survived by sons, Darcy (Sandy), Terry (Barb), Randy (Lynne), Marty (Melissa), and Timmy; daughter Holly (Bryan); grandchildren, Derek, Lindsay, Mercedes, Seth and Joshua; sisters, Betty, Marie, Joan (Ed), Linda, Jane (Raymond), and Joyce (Ken); and brothers, David, Laurie and Lewis (Judy). He was predeceased by his loving wife Donna; sisters Ruth and Dorothy; and brothers Jim and Lloyd.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of your choice.

  3. I was about 5 years old when Uncle Harry left home to go out west, but I remember him . I never met him again until I went out west (Calgary) in 1972 .They said that Calgary was called cow town well Uncle Harry wore a cowboy hat and cowboy boots and so I though Harry was a cowboy .Aunt Donna and Uncle Harry made me feel very welcome to their home when I first moved out west. Love and prayers to you all ..I know he well be missed.

    My sympathy to you all at this time of sorrow. Harry worked for my Dad on the farm and in the woods before he moved to Calgary. I remember he was a hard worker and we had many good times during those years.
