Condolence Messages

  1. I am the older brother in the Brewer family.

Greg was interested in helping the community. When he lived/worked at Regina Beach he donated his equipment to help build the ball diamonds. He also purchased the first club shirts. He was active in trying to build his life and community. Yes I will miss Greg… I know he is in heaven with our mom and dad, granny and uncles. I know too a long time friend Murray Robb was likely on the greeting line.

    Barb and Family:

I was very saddened to hear from Chris of Greg’s passing. Although we lost touch over the years, Greg became my best friend when I moved to Regina in 1969 and finished high school at Campion. I have so many fond memories of driving through Regina in “Brew’s” yellow Willys Jeep, nights at the Pig & Whistle or the Vag drinking rye and cokes (Greg’s preferred drink over draught beer) with Gerry Fox and Wendell Hartman, fence parties in my backyard at 23rd and Albert, scheming to replace the Campion flag at the school with a bra, snacking on Butlers fish and chips, camping out at Regina Beach where we had our own mini Woodstock (Tom supplied the generator) when the band Auto-Da-Fe came into town, Harvey Sirota’s father’s wine, Eileen’s famous “turkgetti” dinners, Ben’s affable charm and warmth, the Campion prom (Greg took my sister Cathy who passed away in 2007)…I could go on and on.

Rest in peace Brew. I am sorry we didn’t keep in touch, but you have always been in my heart.

    Ian McSweeney

    Dear Brewer Family,
It is with much sadness that we offer our thoughts and prayers. Over the last couple of months we have cherished our time getting to know and work with Greg. He was truly a fine man. We feel very honored to have his woodwork art as a legacy in our beautiful cottage. Heaven has certainly gained an angel.

  10. Barb and family: I am so sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of Greg at the beach with his jeep (that I kept stealing and parking on the end of the pier just to annoy him). He was a fun guy…always up for a weiner roast or organizing a “rock concert” in the middle of a farmer’s field – yeah Greg! He will be missed by everyone who knew him as he was a great guy! I remember when he met you Barb and he was the “happiest guy in the world”. Again, so sorry for the loss of a wonderful soul.
