Dorothy Joan Bremner of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the age of 88 years.
Joan was born in Calgary on July 31, 1925, and attended Connaught, Sunalta and Central, and worked for the Public School Board for 11 years. She was also involved in home and school associations, cubs and girls club. She volunteered at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary and Bethany Care in Airdrie. Joan was a White Hatter at the Calgary Airport and she also volunteered for the 1988 Olympics. Her favorite past times were curling, bowling and golfing.
Joan leaves to mourn her daughter Linda Dryden in California; daughter-in-law Debbie Bremner of Airdrie; and grandson Kirk Bremner of Calgary.
She was predeceased by her husband Doug Bremner in 1988; and beloved son Stuart Bremner in 1990.

A Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
