February 9, 1925 – Temuco, Chile
September 7, 2013 – Calgary, AB
With deepest sadness and broken hearts, we announce the passing of Enriqueta Bravo Pape, beloved wife of the late Elie Teodoro Harie Wickel, on September 7, 2013 at the age of 88 years.
Enriqueta was born February 9, 1925 in Temuco, Chile and, after spending her lifetime in Chile, came to Canada in 2007. She loved nature and was a long-time member of the Tree Conservation and Protection Society of Temuco (Chile) where she contributed with her writing and drawing skills. She was also very involved with numerous charitable organizations where she used her knitting and sewing skills to make clothing and toys for children. Later in life, Enriqueta developed her oil painting skills, which she enjoyed until her last day. Through painting, she developed strong friendships with the seniors at the McKenzie Towne Long-Term Care facility in Calgary.
Enriqueta and her late husband Elie Teodoro Harie Wickel were married for over fifty years and their pride and joy were their children and grandchildren.
Enriqueta is survived by her loving children Patricio Wickel (Maria Fe Alba) and Maria Di Capua (Raul Di Capua); and grandchildren, Christopher Di Capua (Lisa Marianych), Patrick Wickel, and Paul Di Capua.
