Frank was a friend, a mentor, and all round great guy. I thought we had lots more time than we ended up having. I regret that. His understanding of life, people and how they support each other was second to none. He is gone too soon and will be missed. We are thinking of those who will miss him the most, Lynn and all his family.

One of Shell’s great in my younger days in Montreal, and also my caring supervisor at onetime. An incorrigible optimist driven by a powerful, influential personality. Thank you Frank for your positive influence on a young man, and for your contribution in making Shell such a great place to work.

Hi Lynn, I guess we have been out of touch these many years since you and Frank moved to Calgary. Have gotten updates from Andre Dumais. I have many good memories of Frank during his time in Montreal including the last 3 years before my retirement in ’84 when Frank was my boss. We had some great times together in the “Commercial” side of the business and we were good friends. Frank was a super guy, as you have probably heard many times before and he will be missed by all those who knew him.
My Sincere condolences Lynn to you and your family – keep well and God bless.

  11. I have so many good memories of my career at Shell and working for Frank is right at the top of them. Frank was our “big boss” but he always seemed like more of a colleague. He was always there to support and encourage us and he made it a fun place to work. He loved nothing better than making a good business deal and he created a team environment that we all thrived in. I am grateful for how he helped me in my career and have so much respect for him as a person. He always spoke so lovingly of his family. He will be missed but never forgotten. My sincere condolences to the Brais family on the loss on this special man.

Our thoughts are with you and the rest of the family Mrs. Brais, Sharon and I were out of the country until January 5th and just heard the very sad news… Over the years I have told many Frank Brais business stories… I learned a great deal about ‘the biz’ while reporting to him at Shell – he was a great negotiator who valued his customers, and always tried to build long term ‘win-win’ relationships.

    Our sincere condolences,

    Doug and Sharon
