BRADLEY, Delores (nee Hummelle)

July 14, 1949 – April 20, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Delores Bradley after a courageous fight with cancer. She lived her life to the fullest and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Delores leaves behind her husband Tom; two sons, Derek Hyde (Nicole) and Jeremy Hyde (Elyse); step-son Micah Bradley (Amber); three grandchildren, Madison, Emily, and Jacob; and siblings, Jerry Hummelle (Helga), Brett Hummelle (Wendy), and Linda Laboucan. Delores was predeceased by her mother Bernadette; father Jerome; and brother Jim.

She was a talented decorator and articles of her work appeared in the Calgary Herald, Calgary Sun, and City Style and Living. She loved her co-workers and going to work every day at her career of over ten years at Enbridge. Everything Delores did was with gusto and panache. She loved people and they loved her. She had many great friends for life and loved young people. Deloris was known for her dinner parties and her fashion sense. She loved her motorbike trips, decorating her home, buying shoes, a good glass of wine, and great meals with loved ones.

A Celebration of Delores’ Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Those who may have any funny stories are welcome to share them at her celebration of life. 3. David Leinster :

Deloris was truly special to me. Before coming to work for Enbridge I was a supplier to the company and would visit the offices weekly. She remembered my voice on the phone, remembered everything I told her about my growing family and other aspects of my life I shared. I would be late for meetings gabbing on with her. She had such an amazing presence and I’m glad to have known her for the better part of a decade.

No doubt, her passing must be so hard to bare, and while I can’t appreciate how you, her family, are feeling, I can say a prayer for each of you and share with you that she was very special to me, and she will be greatly missed here at Enbridge and to anyone that ever had the opportunity to meet and get to know her.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We got to know Delores when she was employed by Lafarge Canada. She personified a pleasant and sunny personality with everyone both within and outside the company. We quickly realized that she would be able to handle any and all matters that came to her attention every day. Truly, she was a delight to be around. We shall remember her for her many attributes and that ever-present spark that was her trademark. We extend our sincere sympathy to her family at this trying time.

Even though Delores and I weren’t much more than acquaintances it felt like we had known each other forever. Delores was my Avon lady. I was one of her best customers and she was one of mine at whatever location I happened to be working, selling jewellery. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out, with an amazing smile. She will be greatly missed.
