BRACKLEY, Keith William

March 8, 1938 – August 12, 2012

Keith Brackley, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the age of 74 years. Keith was born in Montreal, the son of Charles and Winnie Brackley.

Keith was an avid outdoorsman, had a passion for photography and was captivated by aircraft and history. Known affectionately as “Pops”, he had an unfailing sense of humor; his stories, jokes and songs were the delight of all those fortunate enough to meet him. The laughter he created will echo in our hearts and memories forever.

Keith was extremely proud of his children Michael, Mark and Kathy Brackley and his grandchildren Liam, Izak, Sara and Milez Brackley. He is also survived and greatly missed by his wife and best friend Nina Brackley; with whom “twenty-two years of marriage” was not enough. He leaves behind many friends and family who adored him and whose lives will never be the same.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum. Condolences may be forwarded through

  3. I am very sorry for your loss. Keith was a good man with no shortage of good stories or life advice to offer. Keith and I had many good conversations out at the airport over the years. He was always there to make me laugh or offer some advice to get me though my day if it were going bad.

When I was driving by the airport yesterday afternoon there was a rainbow over the airport. That has to be more than irony.

Take care during this hard time, but know that Keith left his impression on many of us.
