  9. Brett worked with us since 2008 with his truck… Of the 115 couriers we have, Brett was one of the most professional, hardest working and dependable guys out there. Often, during training, I’d mention examples of what he did to others, hoping (usually futilely) that the trainees would learn from.

Brett and I chatted a few times recently, and he was fairly open about his troubles, as well as his desire to surpass them, for himself and his family. He will be missed here, and we cannot image how much more he will be missed by his family.

    Our condolences.

  28. I just found out today of Brett’s passing after asking one of his fellow co-workers why I haven’t seen him for a few weeks. For the past 5 years I’ve had the pleasure of Brett being, by far, my favorite and most reliable courier. Every time he came to pick up a delivery, it never mattered how busy either one of us was, we always took the time to chat to see how everything was going. He had an awesome sense of humor, always joking and smiling. Although I may not have known Brett outside of work, I considered him a friend and will miss him.

My deepest condolences to all his family & friends.

  29. Dear Dad,

You were my rock and my soul, you were always there to protect me and you were a wonderful grandfather, Michael misses you so much every morning when we are waiting we see the brightest star in the sky and Michael looks at me and says Mom look there is papa resting up there, breaks my heart you left me here alone still not sure where to go. I always came to you for help or when I needed something, I had to be ok with filling out papers and not sure what to do but now I have to learn how to do it on my own. I am struggling without you and I miss you so much that this is even hard to write but I know I need to get this off my chest and this will make me stronger.
I love you so much Daddy please keep watching over Michael, Brett and I as we are growing as a family and you will be so missed. My birthday next weekend will never be the same, I am dreading the day I have to walk down the aile by myself and not have you on my arm telling me its ok.
I really wish you would have talked too and thought about your daughters.
Uncle spead some of your ashes in Antartica now you can travel the oceans and see everything.
    I love you Daddy.

  30. Nick Hamnett :

We were very shocked when we found out of the passing of Brett. He was a very friendly and nice guy. I remember when we arrived at the Hiawatha campground one evening with our trailer and Brett was the first one to come and help us get setup and we were grateful to utilize his driving skills to park the trailer. We also had interesting and good conservations around the campfire. I can’t believe that we will never be seeing Brett again and won’t be able to sit around the campfire with him again. My deepest condolences go out to Brett’s family, and especially his wife and kids.
