  1. Carson & Wendy Boutilier :

Our deepest sympathy at the loss of your husband, father & brother. He was a wonderful person and I am so glad to have known him. There are no words that will make this painful time better, but remembering Dale as he was as an outgoing and humorous person will help. That is how he would want to be remembered, and I will think of him and his family on Saturday when you say your goodbyes.

  2. In 1996 Dale came out to my cabin to help us,we just had the shell up and roof on and furnace installed it was in the middle of winter and cold.We worked all day on the exterior, freezing but got it done it was dark when we finished. We heated up dinner and ate it on sawhorses and plywood tables there was laughter and fun. After dinner the spirits and smoke flowed freely and by midnight everyone was a glow and ready for for bed.Now there was just framed walls no drywall yet or privacy and everyone was passed out except for Dale, at about 2am Dale started shouting waking up everyone “come outside come outside” he shouted you guy’s got to see this, we begrudgingly got up threw some clothes on and went outside and to our amazement the sky was a light, the darkness of country sky allowed the hail bob comet to light the heavens from one end of the sky to the other it was a once in a life time celestial event just awesome. Thanks Dale and shine on

Dale was as close to a brother to me as one could get. We did not get to see each other over the past years, but always remained in contact. I am going to miss him very much! I am going to miss his winks, his smile, and our conversations. You are in my thoughts and prayers thru this tough time. I will be calling!!! We will meet!!! xoxo

  8. Patti and Jordan Boyce :

We can’t believe you are gone uncle Dale. I know you are not hurting physically anymore, so for that I am grateful. I will miss you always and know that you are with us in spirit. I look forward to seeing you again one day and know that you will be waiting for all of us with open arms to welcome us, but until then you will be missed dearly.
Patti, words cannot express how much I wish I was there with you right now. I want to give you the biggest hug and cry with you as we remember uncle Dale. I cannot even fathom losing your best friend. He will always be with you as your guardian angel to watch over you and protect you. Just know that we love you and our thoughts, love, support and prayers are with you during this difficult journey.
Randi, nothing can ever replace a parent, I can attest to that as I’m sure many others can. My heart aches with you as you miss and grieve over the loss of your dad. I know this is very cliche, but it does get easier with time, albeit a long time. You will always miss him and love him, that never goes away.
For everyone else I did not mention, of which there are plenty (he was well loved), we are grieving along with you at this difficult time. Our love and support are with you as well.
I know Uncle Dale would not want us to be sad. He would want us to sit around the campfire, have some drinks and listen to and play lots of music while we remember what an awesome man he was. So, here’s to you Uncle Dale, our first camping trip when the weather allows will be in your memory with lots of music and drinks.
    We love you ,
    Patti and Jordan Boyce

  11. Sad to hear about the passing of my old friend today. Ive been thinking about some of the good times we had at his old place in mississauga. Some great memories. I have not seen dale in many years but we had contact through FaceBook over the last year and relived some of the good times we had at his winston churchill and the collegeway ESTATE. Would have been nice to meet again and spend a day fishing and talking about what we both have been up to over the last 30 years. My condolences to patti and family.

    RIP dale.

Marlene, I know that your love for your brothers is none other then beautiful and most wonderful. Being the only girl in the family and being “protected” by them all your life must have been incredibly comforting. To have your brother Dale pass away so young must tear you and your family apart, especially now at Christmas. No matter when it happens the steps we take to heal are all the same–family, friends and memories of the incredible good times and trusting that he is in “good hands” now.

Much love and prayers to you and your family Marlene now and always. XOXOXO

To Boyce Family , I wish to add my heartfelt condolences at this time for the loss you have to deal with at this time. I met Dale and other family members some years ago as I offered some sense of comfort when his mom passed away. I realize this is a difficult time and even more difficult to deal with when one is still in the prime of life. But what I remember most about Dale was his love of life and all that that included. Most importantly family and so my words to the family are these , remember with gratitude the wonderful years and memories that can never be erased. May God bless you all and grant you comfort and peace at this time. Bill Drysdale DLM

  28. I would like to say how sorry I am to Dales extensive family. I have not seen Dale for many years but did see many pictures of Dale and his family over the years on Facebook. He looked like the same old Dale, enjoying life to the fullest. Unfortunately his life was cut short. I know the expression ” He is in a better place” to anyone who has not seen a loved one suffer seems silly, but it is not. Dales pain is over, we will all see him again one day, until then I hope Dales family can move on knowing that you all that you could have done. Each day will be a little easier, each week you will become a little stronger, each year you will remember what a great person he was.

You will be missed by more than you know Uncle Dale, I won’t ever forget the time you showed me Uncle Tom’s bike outside your house. You were like a kid opening a gift. You were always in my heart. Now you can ride forever. Or the time I gave you a hug after so many years not seeing you and you told me “that wasn’t a hug” and gave me a great big bear hug. And to call you just Dale because I made you feel old when I called you Uncle.

My heart goes out to the rest of my Uncles and Aunt.

    Loved, missed and never forgotten

The laughs we shared helping me with my deck, putting on my storm door of my studio before going to Lab., horseshoe parties at his and Patti’s where everyone felt welcomed with such a heartwarming smile and generous hearts. Remembering the mandolin playing here at my Xmas party here and how Patti wanted to move in. And my Darlin’ Patti , my door is always open. Know that he worshipped the ground you walked upon.
