Alistair Bowler “Al” beloved husband of Ruth Bowler of Calgary passed away peacefully at Southwood Care Centre on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the age of 70 years.
Al started out his working career as a power engineer at Preco Precast Plant then Grace General Hospital. Al worked his way from power engineer to chief engineer, then assistant director with thirty-five years of service. After a brief retirement, Al took a few month position as power engineer at Deer Lodge Centre that lasted seven years. He will be remembered by many co-workers and friends. After his final retirement Al and his wife moved to Calgary, Alberta to be close to his sons, daughter-in-law and especially the grandchildren Hanna, Xen and Jin.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Al is survived by his loving wife Ruth, sons Ray (Chika), Graham; three grandchildren; brother Ian; nieces and nephews; brother-in-law John Kablak (Rebecca); and by many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Southdale Community Centre (254 Lakewood Boulevard, Winnipeg, MB) Saturday October 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
