  10. Am so very sorry to hear of your loss Alicia and the loss for his friends here, and friends and family down under, and many online friends throughout the world. He brought cheer with him to most everyone he chatted with, sharing for example great Australian music and us sharing back to him music he might like. It is still shocking to lose this wonderful younger friend with whom I chatted with often, whose future was so encouraging, and his joys so many. The shared memories sent to me by many of his online friends via a common online game played, has really demonstrated that a caring, joyful, sharing angel was born when Nigel left this Earthly existence. May peace be with you Nigel. I will miss you and never forget you.

  11. I was a friend to Nigel on Facebook. I am sorry for your loss as there is never a good time to lose a loved one. Nigel was young, and I know that makes his passing even more painful for his wife and family at this time. I also believe that Nigel will be missed by his many online friends from around the world. I just hope that you, his friends and family, will find comfort and joy in the memories he gave you while he was here. Memories are the greatest gift anyone could ever leave us with. And memories have always been my way of coping best with the loss of someone near and dear to me. May you too look to your memories with Nigel to help you through this painful time. My thoughts will be with you. Once again, I am very sorry for your loss.

  25. To Alicia and all of Nigel’s family.

My sincerest condolences for the loss of such an amazing guy. I knew Nigel through his time at Vintage Cellars at Indooroopilly (Brisbane). His genuine passion for life, the wine industry and those he loved, was never more obvious than with Nigel. I loved going into the store when he was on because the energy was electric and his enthusiasm, contagious.
I’ll miss you my friend and colleague and I join his family in the realisation of loss.

    My best wishes to all.

  31. I am so sad to hear of Nigel’s death. Nigel “the Pirate” was one of the best employees I have EVER had. He was such a different type of fellow and I am proud to be able to have called him a friend. When I first met him we found an instant and mutual dislike for each other. After we had worked each other out we grew to be friends. Every time I drive past where we worked together, another funny thought pops into my head about the whacky work days we had, especially Sundays. I’ll never forget that crazy dude with the bright white sunglasses.
From that start I learnt a whole new way of dealing with the world… He was such a legend, I will truly miss him. We used to wine challenges, whisk(e)y debates, Burgundy vs Bordeaux debates, pirates or Viking discussions etc etc etc someone with such unlimited thoughts and dreams will surely never leave the hearts and thoughts of so many. Farewell Pirate, I will always miss you.
