BOULTON, Alfred Stanley Gould “George”

October 12, 1918 – London, England
July 24, 2014 – Calgary Alberta

Much loved husband of Joyce Walker Boulton; dad of Alison (David), Christopher (Jillian), and Rosemary; granddad to Erin, Corey (Kim), and Lucy, and the ‘greats’ Macie and Kyra, passed away on Thursday July 24, 2014 at the age 95 years.

Immigrating to Canada from Great Britain in 1952 after a career in the RAF, Dad worked until his retirement at Crane Canada, Calgary. We celebrate Dad’s life by remembering his love for all of us, his irrepressible optimism, his kindness, humour and his steady hand guiding us through the challenges of our lives. Dad loved the Rocky Mountains, a good round of golf, and a sherry at the end of the day. George was a lovely, gentle man of faith, and was held in high regard by all who knew him. Sincere thanks to Anthony Caballes, Ferdie Baustia and Herlyn Tomas for their care of Dad over the past 6 years. Thanks also to the staff and administration of The Beverly Centre Glenmore.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Mark & St. Philip Anglican Church (1802 – 33 Avenue S.W.) on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In living memory of George Boulton, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Park Memorial, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W. Calgary, AB, T2S 2L5, Telephone: 403-243-8200.

  1. Jodie Curran :

Thinking of Mr. Boulton’s Family at this time.

It is with great sadness that the Staff and Management of Crane Supply, div of Crane Canada Co. has heard of George’s passing. We remember, with fondness his professionalism, kindness, charm and “cool head under pressure”. Mr. Boulton ran a tight ship and his legacy lives on many years after his retirement from this organization.
Best Regards, Jodie Curran for Crane Supply

  4. Grahamn and Barbara Goode :

    Dear Rosemary, Joyce and family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. We have so many good memories of George and all he did for St. Philips. He was an especially good reader and many people told us they loved to hear his voice and got so much from the scripture when he read. He was also a very good greeter always cheery and welcoming at the door. As Graham is an honorary assistant at St. Peters he has taken a number of services at the Beverly and would see George there. We wanted to come to the service but Barb had dental surgery arranged she needed a driver for. Blessings,
    Barbara and Graham
