August 6, 1935 – Colmar, France
September 29, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta
Michèle Bouchart, loving wife of Jean-Claude Bouchart, passed away during her sleep on September 29, 2014 at the age of 79 years after a long courageous fight with cancer.
Michèle was born in Colmar, Haut Rhin, France on August 6, 1935. She moved to Canada with her husband and children in 1973 and built a loving home full of joy. Michèle always lived life to the fullest traveling around the world with her husband at her side. One of the great loves of her life was dancing, continuing when most would have hung up their dancing shoes. When she wasn’t dancing up a storm with Jean-Claude, she kept herself busy knitting for her grandchildren and making beautiful quilts. Michèle passed on her passion for cooking to both her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Besides her loving husband of fifty-one years, Michèle is survived by her two children, Sophie (Douglas) Zawadski and François (Maureen) Bouchart; and six grandchildren, Eric, Stephan, Dominique, Christian, Christine and Caitlin. She was predeceased by her sister Françoise Millet and her sister-in-law Micheline Bouchart.
